Text | "In the Name of God Amen I William Huntington of Kirk Ella in the County of the Town of Kingston upon Hull Clerk do make this my last Will & Testament as follows I give to my Loving Wife Mary Huntington my Messuage or Dwellinghouse in Black Friergate [sic] Hull now occupied by my Son Christopher Together with the Furniture & Appurtenances & likewise the House adjoining thereto in the Tenure & occupation of the Widow Brook for the Term of her natural Life & after the decease I give & devise to my Son Christopher the sd. House w[hi]ch he now occupys & to his Assigns And to my Son Bacchus Huntington & his Assigns the House occupied by the Widow Brook I give & devise to my Son William Huntington All my Lands & estates lying in Kidby Althorp & Danthorp bequeathed to me by Mr. William Huntington late of Stockwith & to his Heirs & Assigns To my Son George Huntington having already Advanced Considerable Sums on his Account I give & devise the Sum of Two hundred & fifty pounds To my Daughter Mary the Wife of Francis Tong Clerk I give & bequeath the like Sum of Two hundred & fifty pounds the Interest of w[hi]ch Sum has been paid to her s[ai]d Husband of the Rate of 4 [per] Cent ever since her Marriage and for w[hi]ch he has my Bond w[hi]ch he must give in to be cancelled upon the Receipt of the said Legacy To my Daughter Olive Huntington I give & bequeath the Sum of Three Hundred pounds To my Son Christopher Huntington I give & bequeath moreover the Sum of Three hundred pounds and to my Son Bacchus Huntington the like Sum of Three Hundred pounds And for the Payment of these several Legacys I assign over my Houses & Tenements situate in White Friergate [sic] known by the Name of Etheringtons Entry as likewise my Int[e]rest in another sett of Houses in the same Street called Walkers Entry on w[hi]ch I have a Mortgage for Six hundred pounds together with my House in Billingsgate or Quean [sic] Street in Hull now in the Occupation of John Cooke w[hi]ch Premises if sold to advantage I suppose may be answerable for the Amount of the said Legacies But in case they prove deficient a Proportionable Abatement must be made in the several Legacies above mentioned Saving & excepting the Legacy left to my Daughter Mary w[hi]ch I order to be paid to her without any Deduction and untill the aforesaid Estates can be Sold to Advantagement [sic] I advise that the Rents & Profits arising from them be divided amongst them in proportion to their several Bequests And Whereas by a Fine levied it will be in the power of my Wife after my decease to dispose of the Estate devised to her and her Heirs by the late Mr. Bacchus lying in the Parish of Cottingham in such a manner as she may think proper I advise that the said Estate be equally divided amongst our four Sons William George Christopher and Bacchus and our two Daughters Mary & Olive after the decease of my said Wife to whom I moreover bequeath All my Furniture Plate Books &c. in my House at Kirk Ella & elsewhere & whom I constitute & appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Ninth Day of the Month of November in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy nine ~ Willm.
