    He was suspected of being unfaithful to the Lancastrian cause in January 1460/61.

    He was a trier of petitions in the first Parliament of Edward IV.

    He accompanied the King in his expedition to the North in November 1462.

    On 23 May 1464 he was pardoned for all offences, and for all debts due from him to the King.

    On 14 November 1464 he and the Earl of Warwick were appointed to appear at York on 26 November and prorogue the Parliament sitting there until 21 January following at Westminster.

    He was appointed a commissioner to treat concerning the marriage between James, son of the King of Scots, and Cecily, younger daughter of Edward IV.

VI, but, with seven others so summoned, received a letter from the King dated 3 February following, desiring them to extend upon the sure and safe keeping of the marches against the Scots, and letting them wite that in this doing the King fully excuses their not coming to the Parliament that was to meet 12 February.
