    He was not heir to Thomas, Duke of Gloucester, his maternal grandfather. His mother's son and heir (by her first husband) was Humphrey, Earl of Stafford, created in 1444 Duke of Buckingham.

    He was a banneret before 25 February 1426/27.

    He succeeded to the estates of his cousin, Elizabeth (Bourchier), widow of Louis Robessart, 1 July 1433.

    He was summoned to Parliament from 5 July (1435) 13 Henry VI to 13 January (1444/45) 23 Henry VI, by writs variously directed Henrico Bourghchier Comiti de Ewe (1435), Henrico Bourghchier (1436–1439), or Henrico Bourghchier de Bourghchier (1444/45).

    He was present at the Parliament of 11–12 Henry VI, being styled Henricus de Bourchier chivaler, but no writ summoning him to this Parliament is enrolled.

    Hereditary Title:
    The title was possibly Viscount Bourchier of Tickhill, co. York.

    He was summoned to Parliament from 14 December (1446) 25 Henry VI to 23 May (1461) 1 Edward IV, by writs directed Henrico Vicecomiti Bourghchier or Bourgchier chivaler.

    He and his wife were later removed to Little Easton, Essex.

    Henry married Lady Isabel (Plantagenet), of Cambridge before 25 April 1426. Isabel (daughter of Richard (Plantagenet), of Conisburgh, 3rd Earl of Cambridge and Lady Anne Mortimer) died on 2 Oct. 1484; was buried in Abbey of Beeleigh, Maldon, Essex, England. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
