"LIEUTENANT-COMMANDER A. LEVESON, R.N.V.R., AND MISS MAUDE
"The marriage took place on March 18 at the Church of the Redemption, New Delhi, India, of Lieutenant-Commander Arthur Leveson, R.N.V.R., only son of the late Admiral Sir Arthur Leveson and of Lady Leveson, and Miss Margaret Ruth Maude, Flight Officer, W.A.A.F., only daughter of Group Captain C. E. Maude, R.A.F., and Mrs. Maude, of Woodriding, Ickenham, Middlesex. The Rev. J. D. Tytler officiated.
"The bride, who was married from the residence of the Commander-in-Chief, was given away by Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatten. She wore a dress of white silk, with a long veil of white tulle, and a head-dress of orange-blossom and sweet peas, and carried a bouquet of sweet peas. Captain W. B. Henderson, R.M., was best man.
"The reception was held at Faridkot House. Those who accepted invitations included the Viceroy and Viscountess Wavell, General Sir Claude Auchinleck, the Nawab of Rampur, Vice-Admiral G. J. A. Miles, Rear-Admiral R. C. Jerram, Rear-Admiral C. S. Holland, General Sir G. Giffard, Lieutenant-General Sir H. Pownall, Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Peirse, and many other officers of the services."
