"John: Huntington and Esther: Bacchus: both of Kingston upon Hull was [sic] joined together in Mariage [sic] ye Sixth day of ye Sixth month 1685." [The months in the register are numbered with the year beginning on Lady Day, 25 March; therefore March was the first month, and hence the sixth month was August.]
