"No. 45 } James Croft of the Parish of Saltwood in the County of Kent Bachelor and Charlotte Manners Sutton of this Parish Spinster were Married in this Church by special Licence this Fifth Day of October in the Year One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twelve By me C. Cantuar. This Marriage was solemnized between Us {James Croft} {Charlotte Manners Sutton} In the Presence of {F. Manners Sutton} {John C. Bisset}" They were married by the father of the bride, the Archbishop of Canterbury.
