Generation: 2

  1. 2.  Rev. Christopher Wyvill died on 8 March 1822 in Burton Hall, Wensleydale, Yorkshire, England.

    Notes:

Foster does not identify the parents of Christopher Wyvill. His pedigree reads: "CHRISTOPHER WYVILL, "clerk," so described by his family in 1825, no parentage being then given (see Whitaker's "Richmondshire"), rector of Black Notley, co. Essex, which he resigned 22 September, 1806, and executor to the Earl of Stanhope's will, dated 1805, died at Burton Hall, Wensley Dale, 8 March, 1822, aged 82."

The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, however, identifies Christopher as the Christopher named on the other side of Foster's pedigree, being the son of Edward Wyvill, supervisor of excise at Edinburgh.

Christopher married Sarah Codling on 9 Aug. 1787 in Finghall, Yorkshire, England. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
