CUHAGS (as this society is more famously known) is one of the oldest and most prestigious societies in Cambridge, being one of the few visited by a Prince, a Duke and an Archbishop during the last academic year. Whether you are interested in tracing your family tree, discovering the origins of coats of arms, or even indulging in an atmosphere of times gone by, then we have something to offer. Fortnightly speaker meetings are interspersed with visits to places of interest, a banquet each term and a garden party. Our first meeting is in Clare on 20th October at 9 p.m. [page 155].
CUHAGS is one of the oldest and most distinguished societies in Cambridge, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. As well as heraldry and genealogy, our interests include ceremonial clothing, orders of chivalry and aspects of art and history. We have speaker meetings every other Thursday at 9 p.m. in the Thirkill Room in Clare, starting on the 7th October interspersed with visits to places of interest, a banquet each term and an annual garden party [page 107].
