Text | The Will of James Brettell late of Cradley in the County of Worcester Bricklayer deceased. Proved 20th January 1851. N9. This is the last Will and Testament of me James Brettell of Cradley in the County of Worcester, Bricklayer. First I direct all my just debts funeral expences and the expences of proving this my Will to be fully paid and satisfied by my executors hereinafter named. I give and devise unto my Son John Brettell and my Son in Law John Keen all those my messuages tenements or dwelling houses and all my closes pieces or parcels of land situate at Light Green containing six acres or thereabouts upon trust to pay to my Wife for and during her life the weekly sum of eight shillings and from and after her decease give and devise the same messuages tenements or dwelling houses and closes pieces or parcels of land unto the said John Brettell and John Keen upon trust to sell and convert into money the whole thereof and divide the Produce thereof amongst my Children John Brettell Edward Brettell, William Brettell Thomas Brettell, Eliza Keen Wife of John Keen, Ann Hingley Wife of Isaac Hingley and Charlotte Harper Wife of David Harper equally share and share alike. I give and devise all that messuages or tenements with the garden and appurtenances thereunto belonging now in the occupation of my Son John Brettell unto my said Son John Brettell his heirs and assigns for ever. I give and devise all that messuage or tenement situate at the Wardens now in the occupation of Edward Deeley unto my dear Wife Phoebe Brettell for and during the term of her natural life and from and after her decease I give and devise the same messuage & premises unto the said John Brettell and John Keen upon the same trusts and for the same ends intents and purposes as I have before directed concerning my property at Light Green. As to all the rest and residue of my real and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever situate I give and devise the same unto the said John Brettell and John Keen upon trust as soon as Conveniently can be after my decease to sell and convert into money the whole thereof and divide the proceeds thereof equally amongst my seven children share and share alike. I appoint the said John Brettell and John Keen Executors and Trustees of this my Will. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty second day of September 1850. Signed by the said James Brettell the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who in his presence, at his request, and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses. | |
