The Henry VIII Parliamentary Roll was shown and described to the four members present by C.W. Scott-Giles, Esq., O.B.E., M.A., F.S.A., F.H.S., Fitzalan Pursuivant Extraordinary. The roll illustrates the procession of abbots, bishops, officers of arms, peers, and the King Henry VIII himself to the Parliament held at Westminster (near London) on February 4 1512. After a full examination of it, one briefly inspected other items of heraldic interest in the library. The visit ceased at six bells of the same. |
